Mission Statement

Arizona Waldorf Scholarship Foundation (AWSF) is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) School Tuition Organization (STO) founded in 2002 to fund scholarships for students attending independent Waldorf schools in the state of Arizona and other private schools with shared values.

About This Cause

AWSF funds scholarships using the AZ tax credit program focusing on Waldorf schools in the state of Arizona and other private schools with shared values. Individuals, Corporations (C and S Corp) and Insurance companies can all make a Donation to AWSF and it count as Arizona taxes paid (they claim the full amount of the donation as a tax credit when they file their taxes.) Individuals have a maximum donation allowed based on their filing status. There is no Corporate or Insurance company maximum. Go to our website www.azwaldorfscholarships.org to learn more. AWSF awards out 90% of all donations in the form of a scholarship to students with the greatest financial need. We hope to max out our allowed amount for Corporate Low Income Scholarship, which is $5,600 per student enrolled in K-8th grade. We can make this happen if we get $600,000 per year from Corporate, S-Corp or Insurance Company donations. Remember, these donations count as Arizona taxes paid (AZ Tax Credit), and they count as Federal Charitable giving as well.
