Mission Statement
Embrace180 Community Outreach Services will develop partnerships and engage comprehensive community initiatives that will improve the quality of life by reversing the effects of poverty and homelessness, create housing opportunities, empower youth while developing leaders, and strengthen resources for senior populations.
About This Cause
Embrace180 will endeavor to feed, educate, house, empower and restore low-income individuals through four areas of focus. Elevate Transitional and Tiny Home Communities are housing programs for homeless, and at-risk individuals. This program provides safe and affordable housing by building tiny home communities, or intervention measures that allow individuals to have a safe place to rest. Participants receive educational/ lifeskill training, addiction recovery programs, parenting classes and work readiness training, all of which lead to self-sufficiency. Clients are encouraged to volunteer at the Embrace Grace Soup Kitchen. Embrace Grace Soup Kitchen provides an evening meal to low-income and need based individuals. Food insecurity can be caused from lack of access or poverty. Regardless, our goal is to ensure we are doing everything possible to fill the hunger gap by providing a warm meal in a friendly setting served by our team of volunteers. This opportunity allows our team to meet folks individually, assess the circumstance and network with our community partners to bring additional resources to the table. Senior Crossroads is an advocacy program serving those 60+. Our goal is to allow seniors a place to seek assistance for basic or complex needs. The needs and finances of seniors are diverse, requiring a hands-on approach to assess and ensure seniors are provided the support necessary to live a healthy, independent life. For seniors looking for employment or volunteer opportunities, partnerships with area businesses allow for the networking and placement of seniors. Emergency assistance such as home repairs, or much needed medical equipment is conditional for many seniors to continue living on their own. Through partnerships with local contractors and volunteers, we are able to provide necessary repairs or equipment needed for seniors to live independently. Genuine Reflections teaches youth they are valuable and strong while empowering each to become leaders. This after school program provides hands on learning activities to boost self-esteem and enhance confidence while engaging students in leadership programs. Students will participate in field trips, volunteer opportunities, community leadership programs and job skills training. Participants are partnered with mentors that engage and create lasting friendships. This program will provide each student with a mentor that will follow them as they transition through middle and high school.
