Mission Statement
The mission of the BESIMBOLIC foundation is to inspire young people to “Simply Be Their Best” and also means “Being Deeply Rooted Stimulates Growth. Teaching young people that they can do, have and achieve any goal or task they set out to and to not ever let someone’s opinion of them become their reality. To show them that they are here ON PURPOSE, For A PURPOSE and WITH A PURPOSE and that NO ONE CAN DETERMINE THAT PURPOSE but them.
About This Cause
The BESIMBOLIC Scholarship was generated to uphold and honor the legacy of profound Educator EMMA K. WIDEMAN. Emma K. Wideman was the beloved Mother of Chicago Actor Author and Motivational Speaker SIMEON HENDERSON. The BESIMBOLIC Scholarship was implemented in 2020. The purpose of the BESIMBOLIC Scholarship, shall serve to promote the passion for academic excellence personified by Mother Emma K. Wideman. Simeon Henderson, the beloved son of Mother Emma K. Wideman, is a Humanitarian and Philanthropist. Simeon Henderson remains committed to rendering next level service to humanity through education empowerment, while working with CPS Officials, Mentoring, Coaching, and investing in the next generation of leaders through structured programming. At an early age, Simeon Henderson learned the biblical scripture Philippians 4:13 I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me. Simeon Henderson was taught this scripture, and why it is applicable to his life, by his beloved Mother Emma K. Wideman. After being diagnosed with a learning disability, Simeon Henderson overcame the literacy barrier. He learned to read while in the sixth-grade. Although, Simeon Henderson learned to read at a late age during his education experience, he was determined to excel in the classroom and beyond. As a result of resilience and perseverance, Simeon Henderson ranked amongst the top four in his higher education class. He earned his B.A. in Education from Elmhurst College and received his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Roosevelt University. Simeon Henderson is a role model for success. As a working Actor, Simeon Henderson maintains a successful career in the television and film industry. In addition to acting, Simeon Henderson has directed and produced movies. Simeon Henderson is a well-rounded professional. He is Author of the following literacy materials: Through The Eyes of A Man and Challenge. Simeon Henderson also released the motivational album BELIEVE. He also produces BESIMBOLIC apparel for men and women. Simeon Henderson strives to inspire audiences to BESIMBOLIC and reach their dreams. BESIMBOLIC means being deeply rooted, being deeply rooted stimulates growth. The defining empowerment behind BESIMBOLIC, simply means to be your best while on your path to success.
