About This Cause
Named after Willy, a rescue pup full of courage and determination, Willy Lucky Pet Rescue provides emergency treatment, post-surgical recovery, and family placement of adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized. For more than a decade, Robin Reese DVM and her sister Erin Gantenbein, have been helping pets in need. Some of their rescues have endured trauma from abuse or neglect, some are simply abandoned without reason. What started as a financially manageable arrangement between the duo to care for these pets, swelled exponentially with the growth in their community. The demand for this service is high, and between the sisters, had become monetarily unsustainable. They began their non profit charity to continue their mission of sparing adoptable pets from the tragic fate of convenience euthanasia.
