YWCA Utah is the oldest and largest provider of domestic violence services in the state, offering comprehensive, wrap-around support to meet the diverse needs of survivors and their families. Every day, YWCA Utah works to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. For 119 years, the organization has championed the rights of marginalized individuals through direct services, education, research, and advocacy. Committed to fostering health and safety, empowerment and economic advancement, and racial justice, YWCA Utah strives to create a more just and equitable future for all people in Utah.

About This Cause

As the state’s oldest and largest provider of family violence services, YWCA Utah is a lifeline for survivors seeking safety, healing, and hope. As the only domestic violence shelter in Salt Lake City, YWCA Utah provides a safe place to stay, warm meals, medical and mental health care, legal support, financial education, and job readiness assistance—all at no cost to survivors of all genders and ages. YWCA Utah’s goal is to provide trauma-informed services to domestic violence survivors, focusing on safety, stability, and long-term well-being. YWCA Utah offers 24/7 crisis support and case management through our emergency shelter and longer-term, affordable housing through our KRH apartments. The Family Justice Center provides seamless access to legal aid, counseling, and healthcare. Our Children’s Services provides trauma-informed, enrichening programming for domestic violence survivor children on campus, and Lolie Eccles Early Education Center (LEEEC) provides high-quality early education. YWCA Utah has a four-star, 100% charity rating on Charity Navigator. YWCA Utah is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
