Mission Statement
Our mission is to end domestic violence in Utah through advocacy, education, collaboration, and leadership. We envision a world where all individuals and families live free from violence, feel safe, empowered, and hopeful.
About This Cause
Utah Domestic Violence Coalition is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization recognized nationally for providing expertise concerning issues of domestic and sexual violence to member programs, community partners and others in Utah. Our core values are: Advocacy – We embrace our role to inform and advance public policy and statewide training that is trauma- informed. Collaboration – To fulfill our mission, we coordinate with partners and community stakeholders. Safety – We promote genuine security for all people and support our members and partners who create safe communities. Empowerment – Just like a survivor’s right to self-determination, we support our members and partners in serving those affected by violence. Dignity – We are committed in treating each individual, family, team member, and community partner with the humanity they deserve. Social Change – We are committed to addressing social relationships, structures, and discourse as important sites of change. Intersectionality – We embrace the diversity in our community and strive to promote inclusion and equity in all we do.
