Our mission at the Kathryn Weit Foundation is to empower the Intellectual/Developmental disability community of Oregon through advocacy and policy.
About This Cause
The Kathryn Weit Foundation strives to continue the vision and values of its namesake: helping individuals and families with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in Oregon thrive. The main program of the Foundation is a paid educational twelve-month Fellowship that focuses on networking, mentorship, and legislative advocacy for the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Community within the state of Oregon. The focus of each Fellowship will change annually based on application proposals and needs, with a consistent emphasis on state-wide policy development for Oregonians with I/DD.
