Mission Statement
Our mission is to prevent the exploitation of our youth and children through educational services, seminars, and events.
About This Cause
We provide mandated vetted preventative education to school staff, curriculum for students ages K-12th grade, training for wellness centers, athletic departments, law enforcement, community stakeholders, parents and caregivers, colleges, and the community at large. Annual number of adult participants is approximately 300, youth participants approximately 500-600, law enforcement approximately 125, community stakeholders approximately 200. We work in all compromised and underserved communities, especially those who are exploited at a higher rate, such as youth from our racially compromised communities, youth from our LGBTQ community, youth with disabilities, youth out of our foster care system, youth in probation or juvenile justice, undocumented migrant youth, homeless youth and youth who are missing, etc. Working with families as well in all situations connecting them to therapeutic services and mentor services. We have developed a student intern program and the growing number of students is around 25 with high school and college interns. These youth have been mentored in our work and educated on this topic so they are able to present and use their voice to bring awareness and education to our community and more importantly their peers. Trainings for school staff are given by our team of students and myself which makes our trainings uniquely effective in helping us how to understand the support and prevention we can offer youth. Curriculum is available for staff to give to students, ready and prepped to go, so they now are understanding what is their safety plan, and how to be proactive and not reactive. Trainings and materials are also given to Parents and Caregivers, so they have this knowledge and can use this to find support and prevention in their families, before something happens. Knowing who our resources are and how to access these resources in a timely way. This curriculum is designed for K-12th grade, age appropriate, building on these tools of resilience and strategies. We have started student clubs in our schools, educating students on the importance of receiving this training. We have partnered and also hosted community awareness events to better create these safe guards for the health of our youth.
