About This Cause
Journey to the Heart is a Sanctuary for People and Horses. The Sanctuary offers Educational Horse Clinics, Equine assisted learning, A Domestic Violence Program and Trauma support. This Sanctuary was created to provide a peaceful, safe haven for these rescued horses who call this home!! They had been abused, discarded and deemed unadoptable. They are now Thriving and have purpose as Therapy Horses here. It is Journey to the Hearts desire to bring awareness and education to those who have a love and passion for learning and building a deeper relationship with horses. Journey to the Heart invites healers and clinicians here to share and grow with us. Here we see the importance of addressing both the physical and emotional state of the horse. The focus is on developing a reciprocal connection and communication with the horse. The horses become our teachers and we heal each other. Also through listening to the horse, becoming aware of our intent, we develop a Trust which will help build a beautiful relationship. Above all it is truly the Heart of the Sanctuary to support those people who want to take action in moving their lives forward in a Healthy Healing way. The Sanctuary offers support through Creating Change and the Domestic Violence Support Program.
