Mission Statement

Here at GTWC's internship program, we believe that well-supported and diverse therapists-in-training who receive excellent onboarding, supervision, an educational stipend, and the expertise of a team of peers, will provide better therapy. We offer therapy at a lower cost to all who may want it, and recognize that it can be important to clients with marginalized identities to have a therapist who shares an identity with them. There are not enough therapists of color in the field due to institutional racism, so a goal of our internship program is to provide a pathway to leadership in the profession for therapists of color.

About This Cause

We are a nonprofit therapy training program that provides low-cost mental health services with a focus on relationship issues in the communities of Oak Park and Chicago, IL.
