Mission Statement
Petworth Peanuts is a 100% volunteer-run 501c3 organization that connects and supports parents of infants and young children in the Greater Petworth community of Washington, D.C. .
About This Cause
Petworth Peanuts connects and supports caregivers of infants and young children throughout the Petworth community of Washington, D.C. Peanuts programming includes: newborn cohorts / post-partum support, community service initiatives, continuing education events, social events and play dates, as well as a a variety of free and discounted parenting resources. Peanuts is 100% volunteer-run and directly supports more than 750 member families in and beyond Greater Petworth; in addition, approximately 5,000+ area families benefit from Peanuts' events and programming, including the Sherman Circle Spooktacular, Miracle on Upshur Street, Petworth Pride in the Park, the Mother's Day Free Market and other free annual family-friendly events and initiatives. Peanuts is proud to partner with area businesses and organizations to further support the Greater Petworth community, including Ward 4 Mutual Aid, Uptown / Petworth Main Street, Petworth Arts Collaborative, Georgia Avenue Family Support Collective, DC Area Diaper Bank, and more. Because Peanuts is volunteer run, 100% of all donations directly support our programming!
