About This Cause
The “FK” in FK Your Diet means Foster Kids. The restaurant was inspired by Doug Miller, a founder, who grew up in the foster care system. He and his co-founder, Amy Eldridge, wanted to give back to such a forgotten segment of our population. Doing more for our community was always part of the mission. It began with hiring staff that needed to work. People with sudden and unfortunate life circumstances, foster kids, homeless, or have physical or mental disabilities, incarcerated, gender inequalities, age, and ethnic diversity. Members of our community that want to be productive citizens and need that next step to be successful. On September 27, 2022, our community changed forever. Thousands of people, our customers, lost their homes, cars, everything. FK Your Diet made national news doing what we do best to help – FEED PEOPLE! Since Hurricane Ian, we have changed our Fort Myers and Cape Coral restaurants to a Community Kitchen concept. Providing FREE hot meals, made with love, to those struggling in our community. If you can afford to eat, please pay for the meal and if you can gift more, please do, because it truly keeps our FK community mission working hard and growing.
