Build from Within Alliance works to reverse systemic disinvestment by building community capacity that supports low-income resident entrepreneurs as drivers of economic and social change.

About This Cause

Build from Within Alliance is a dynamic national intermediary and network of partners that connects opportunity to underserved entrepreneurs in systemically disinvested neighborhoods who are often not eligible for traditional business resources and financing. Since 2019, BfWA has supported close to 5,000 racially and ethnically diverse entrepreneurs, many now operate successful small businesses in their neighborhoods. 87% entrepreneurs of color | 70% low income | 51% women
