Mission Statement
Generational Healing. If trauma can be passed down from one generation to another, then healing can also be passed down.
About This Cause
As our name suggests, we embrace the whole personhood of Black and Brown people; hence we approach our work from an intersectional lens. Trauma studies indicate that the oppressive or traumatic effects a traumatic event can be transmitted from one generation to another or sent down to younger generations. We that in mind, we believe that the impact of healing can also be transmitted. Access to quality mental wellness care has tremendous effects not only on individuals but also on future generations. We achieve our mission in three ways: Community Wholeness: monthly community conversations, online resources, mental health education, workshops, and retreats. Individual Wholeness: Individual and couples therapy, support groups, wellness retreats, community gathering, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation. Professional Wholeness: we aim to help train upcoming therapists from minoritized communities. Workshops, professional development, business training, and leadership training.
