Mission Statement

To enhance the lives of at-risk youth through the use of animal assisted activities to help them find happiness, joy and hope for a better future.

About This Cause

The farm works with at-risk youth who are dealing with any of life's struggles including ADD, ADHD, Autism, anxiety, mental health issues, living in poverty or foster homes, dealing with trauma, have behavioral, social or emotional concerns or any other challenge that makes life seem less hopeful. We work on teaching many traditional values including work ethic, compassion, empathy, respect and independence through farm chores and learning how to care and create bonds with the animals. The ultimate goal for most of the kids is to learn how to ride the horses. Riding horses has the natural ability to develop strength and coordination, gives a sense of pride, and teaches how to be patient and calm. We do not charge any of the kids for their time on the farm, knowing we would eliminate many of them from coming due to the demographics of where the farm is located. We rely on fundraising, donors, sponsorships, and grants to keep the farm running and improving pending the needs of our "riders". We have a short 5-minute video on our website that gives a better picture of what the farm is all about and what we are trying to accomplish.
