Mission Statement
We believe that the under-served community of single parents deserve assistance to go to school and we were founded to help them get there.
About This Cause
The Poynter Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that hosts an annual charity golf tournament to raise money for The Poynter Scholarship. The Poynter Scholarship is given to single-parent students attending a University. The founders, Ryan and Lauren Poynter, have seen firsthand how difficult it is for single parents to not only raise their family on their own but to have to put their hopes and dreams of higher education on hold to support their family instead. We wanted to start The Poynter Foundation to help provide financial flexibility to parents and help them achieve their dream of getting their degrees. We hope that our events not only bring enjoyment to those who attend them but also help a community that can use our support.
