Mission Statement
BLLP-is dedicated to bridging the gap between human well-being and animal welfare. Our mission is to educate the community on the importance of spay and neuter initiatives and to promote the message: “Adopt, Don’t Shop.” We believe in creating a compassionate and informed community that values the lives of all animals and their caretakers.
About This Cause
My whole life changed when I adopted a "pit bull" type dog named Buster. He changed the trajectory of my life and provided me with purpose for nine years. Because of Buster's breed, he opened my eyes to discrimination, animal abuse, and a world where not everyone fits in. Through him, I became heavily involved in animal rescue and advocacy work, finding my passion to fight for change in animal welfare. My background is in healthcare, and as I navigated my own health struggles, I learned the difference between conventional medicine and functional medicine. I found my time with Buster and nature to be incredibly healing for my soul, mind, and body. This led me to dream of a holistic health and wellness center focused on bridging the gap between human well-being and animal welfare—a place where we could be more involved in rescue and transport of the underdogs, and where animals like Buster could come to decompress, reset, and heal. This vision became the B & Let Liv Project. After the sudden loss of Buster, I was able to transmute my grief into fuel for my passion for animal advocacy. This led me to purchase Endless Mountains Vineyards in the Endless Mountains, providing the land needed to create a retreat center focused on educating the community about responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter initiatives, and the importance of adopting rather than shopping. The future of B & Let Liv includes foster cabins on our property, allowing dogs between the shelter and their forever homes to heal holistically. Guests on our property will have the opportunity to understand why our initiatives are important. By supporting our business, you support the community and animal welfare, while having the chance to relax, decompress, heal, and educate yourself on the crisis in our animal welfare state. This will give you the opportunity to learn why it is crucial to bridge the gap and make the connection that animal welfare is human well-being.
