Our Mission Quality Health Global Foundation, Inc is a non-profit organization committed to the pursuit of health equity for minority and socioeconomically disadvantaged communities in California and Nigeria. Making sure that everyone, no matter who they are or where they live, has a fair chance to be as healthy as possible. Our Vision Our vision is a world where every individual enjoys the same rights to good health, well-being and self fulfillment.
About This Cause
At Quality Health Global Foundation, our programs and initiatives are meticulously crafted to empower the health of communities, and address global health related barriers to communities having an equitable chance at living healthy, self fulfilled lives. Through our evidenced based health promotion and disease prevention programs and initiatives, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of underserved communities. Health is Wealth Programs Our Health is Wealth Programs embody our commitment to disease prevention and health promotion. We believe that health is the ultimate wealth asset, and through these programs, we work to educate and empower individuals to take ownership of their health, leading to healthier, happier, self fulfilling lives. Annual Community Health Fair Our health fair is a community-based engagement program that serves as a vibrant annual disease prevention, health promotion and community empowerment platform. We bring together local healthcare professionals to educate and engage the community members, these fairs provide a unique opportunity to foster a sense of connectedness. We provide the community members fun health promotion activities, access to health screenings, consulting with healthcare professionals, and gaining insights into ways to start living a healthy life, all to empower people to care for their health outcomes. Health Literacy Program Health literacy is vital for individuals to understand health information and access services, and is crucial for empowering individuals to manage their health and adopt healthy lifestyles. Through our Health Literacy Program, we are dedicated to providing individuals in minority and low socioeconomically disadvantaged communities with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed health decisions, promoting health equity and optimal health outcomes for all. Move 4 Life Program Physical activity is critical for overall health and well-being. We believe that living a long and fulfilling life requires staying active, and our Move 4 Life Program aims to remove barriers to physical activity and empower individuals to take control of their health. Through the Move 4 Life Program, we hope to inspire individuals to adopt healthy lifestyle habits and make movement a regular part of their lives, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes and greater health equity for all. Art Heals Program Art Heals Program, a vital initiative within our Health is Wealth program at Quality Health Global Foundation. California is witnessing a concerning increase in mental health needs. Factors such as stress, trauma, economic instability, and social isolation contribute to the rising prevalence of mental health challenges. Art Heals Program aims to address these challenges by destigmatizing mental health and providing support to minority and socioeconomically disadvantaged communities who struggle to access mental health resources. Art Heals Program seeks to address these challenges by harnessing the therapeutic power of art to promote mental well-being and provide a safe space for expression. Food Heals Cooking Program: Food as Medicine Program, an essential component of our Health is Wealth initiative at Quality Health Global Foundation. This program is designed to provide minority and low socioeconomically disadvantaged communities with access to nutrition education within a hands-on cooking class setting. By emphasizing the use of food as medicine to heal and prevent chronic diseases, our goal is to empower communities to make healthier food choices and break barriers in accessing nutritious foods. Breaking Barriers Initiatives The Breaking Barriers Initiatives represent our strategic response to the specific challenges faced by underserved, rural, and low-income communities globally. These initiatives are designed to break down barriers to global health related issues. Break the Stigma in Epilepsy Initiative: Within California and Nigeria we work to raise awareness and eliminate stigma surrounding epilepsy, providing support and resources to individuals and families affected by this condition in both California and Nigeria. Community Access to AED Initiative: Our AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Community Access Initiative aims to make life-saving AEDs more accessible in communities, empowering individuals to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies and potentially save lives. Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) Utilization Initiative: This initiative focuses on increasing access to primary healthcare services and resources available in PHCs in rural Nigerian communities, ensuring that everyone has access to essential healthcare services close to home. Eradicating Malaria, Nigeria Initiative: In partnership with local stakeholders, we are committed to eradicating malaria in Nigeria through comprehensive prevention and treatment strategies. By increasing access to mosquito nets, anti-malarial medications, and education, we aim to reduce the burden of this preventable disease on communities. Breaking Barriers Initiatives are aimed at promoting health equity and ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, have access to the healthcare services and resources they need to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
