Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide opportunities for enhancing job skills to individuals with different abilities. We envision a diverse community where people with different abilities have the opportunity to gain self-sustainable job skills, stay connected with the latest technology, and become productive members of society. We aim to provide special-needs individuals with job training opportunities and work skills.
About This Cause
Glow Abilities is a non-profit 501c(3) organization. We exist to provide opportunities to special needs individuals to learn job skills that could lead them to long-term sustainable jobs. Our goal is to find job opportunities suitable to the skillsets of the special needs folks in our group. We learned that autistic folks learn quickly by repetition. They have the unique skills to do routine work like assembly line work. For this reason, we chose our first project to assemble snack boxes. Students at Saline Young Adults practice making the boxes by putting the same snack items in each box. We are taking orders for the snack boxes, which will be assembled and packed by Saline Young Adults. Please support the project by placing your order HERE. We can work together to find job opportunities for our beloved special needs young adults. Our long-term vision is to have a stream of project-based job opportunities for our community of people with different needs and abilities. We invite volunteers to help us connect with projects where people with different abilities can work independently or with a job coach. Our short-term plan is to help individuals with special needs assemble snack packs that will be available for sale on our website under products. Our strategic plan is to go national by setting up a Glow Abilities store on national marketplaces like Amazon.
