Mission Statement
Advancing Quality Health Care and Quality of Life for Young Adults with Chronic Conditions - who call themselves Young Invisibles or Yi.
About This Cause
We are a Voluntary Washington Think Tank that uncovered a neglected population: Young Adults who grew up with or acquired chronic health conditions. A decade of in depth analysis revealed the problem: government and systems do not see or support these young adults. To ensure young adults are front and center, we started Invisible Wave, a young adult social justice movement for Yi. In 2017, we held an internship at American University that led us to introduce higher ed legislation for a Maryland study. Our Yi testified and were amazing! The study revealed the state has yet to look at Yi. In 2021, we launched our new Chronic Power Podcast. We chose to start with Young Men's Health - to defy toxic masculinity and create a safe space or men to open up and share.
