IGSI's mission is to provide genealogical education and assistance to its members and to assist the community at large discover Irish history, culture and heritage.
About This Cause
IGSI is an international Irish genealogical society with a mission of education about Irish genealogy. Our members support an extensive library and research facility, and publish the award-winning quarterly journal, The Septs. We give classes and webinars about researching Irish genealogy. Our educational website www.irishgenealogical.org contains much helpful information about researching Irish roots. We publish a bi-monthly e-newsletter Ginealas, and provide research services within our extensive library collection and online. Founded over 40 years ago by a small group of people interested in sharing their knowledge, the Irish Genealogical Society International, Inc. is a Federal IRS 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
