Mission Statement
The Kenney is dedicated to life enhancement for the senior community. We provide healthcare, housing and services which promote optimum health while preserving dignity and respect. The Kenney Foundation Board supports The Kenney Mission through the provision of financial support to enhance the lives of residents. We are a non-profit, faith-based organization open to all persons 62 or more.
About This Cause
The Kenney is a unique community. Many generations have loved living here. Incorporated as a non-profit in 1901, our Board of Directors included members of Seattle's pioneer families who were committed to the vision of Jessie and and Samuel Kenney to provide a home for those in their "golden years" where love, dignity and respect are practiced and people are cared for regardless of ability or income. These historic Kenney values remain today. We offer the full spectrum of living options for seniors. Most residents live independently in apartments and age-in-place. When their needs increase, we offer six levels of personalized care in assisted living apartments. We also offer specialized memory care and skilled nursing (long-term and post-surgery rehab) in supportive settings. The Kenney Foundation provides financial support that enables residents to stay here even if they outlive their resources. The generosity of individuals and businesses allows our mission to flourish. We appreciate this support.
