Mission Statement

Crisis Connections' mission is to foster resilience and well-being by connecting people to accessible and compassionate support.

About This Cause

In recent years, Washington has seen an increase in the number of people seeking crisis support and help navigating the complex health and social services landscape. Crisis Connections understands that providing preventative intervention resources is the best way to prevent societal disparities, associated public costs, and negative community health impacts. We accomplish this by providing whole-person care across our programs. When an individual reaches out via text, chat, email, or phone, a real caring person will answer – providing free, confidential support. Many of our lines operate 24/7/365 and all are available in over 150 languages. Our specialists will ask a few questions to understand the callers’ situation better and without judgement. They will listen, help the person process their feelings, connect them to resources, and create a feasible plan for short-term or long-term resilience. Each year, more than 600,000 people turn to us for help when they need it most. Crisis Connections makes sure people know there is never a wrong reason to reach out, and that they never have to face life’s challenges alone. Our core helplines include 988 and 24-hour Crisis Lines, 211 for essential needs assistance, Teen Link and Warm Line for peer support, the Recovery Help Line, plus support after suicide programs.
