Mission Statement
To search, rescue and/or recover those who become lost, missing, injured or killed while outdoors and to educate people on outdoor safety and wilderness recreation.
About This Cause
We are an all-volunteer organization with about 300 members from all over Snohomish County. Our members are ready to respond to any emergency 24 hours a day/365 days a year. Our skills include first aid, CPR, search and survival, terrain and weather knowledge, map reading and orientation, helicopter operations, search dogs, tracking, swift water rescue, mountain climbing skills, Operations Support and other specialized skills. The volunteers spend an average of 5,000 hours on 80 missions per year. Missions include: lost hikers, children, hunters, climbers, Alzheimer’s victims, missing aircraft, river and lake rescues, and assisting other agencies throughout Snohomish County and Washington State.
