Community food bank that serves northern Whidbey Island.
About This Cause
North Whidbey Help House (aka Help House) was chartered on July 7, 1977 and serves as the food bank for northern Whidbey Island. We provide a 2-3 day supplemental food bag for those in need. We are also fortunate enough to have the local grocery stores donate fresh produce and baked goods to us on a daily basis. To receive our services, clients must provide picture ID for all adults, current proof of their address and complete a one-page application form. Our admin costs are 6% and approximately 90% of our operating budget comes from private donations.
