Mission Statement
FISH is a community-building partner, demonstrating the love of Christ by connecting neighbors with food, resources, and hope.
About This Cause
FISH Community Food Bank has served Ellensburg and Kittitas County since 1972. We are the Kittitas County Food Bank and run a full-service Food Pantry, serving fresh produce, eggs, dairy, meat, as well as a complete selection of non-perishable food on a daily basis. We serve a free congregate meal and senior nutrition lunch 5 days a week. The purpose of the hot meals is to offer a balanced nutritional meal and provide a community atmosphere for our guests to participate in. We also deliver to an average of 110 meals to homebound seniors in our county each day through our Meals on Wheels Program. FISH participates "Summer Meals for Kids" and last year served over 20,000 lunches. "Summer Meals for Kids" is the Federal nutritional program that provides meals for children and teens during the summer months. We serve the lunches in the city parks, which provide a place for playtime and physical exercise. We have many other programs, including SNAP sign up help, commodities boxes for seniors, the Produce Rx program for those with specific diagnoses, FISH Loves Pets, Companions for Seniors and more. More than 40% of the county uses our services.
