About This Cause

We're asked often what Concern For Animals does, with many assumptions being that we are a shelter. While we do operate a very small rescue and adoption facility, it's not our primary mission. CFA gives financial support to struggling families and individuals with pets that are in need of spay/neuter procedures and medical care. We also host a weekly Pet Food Bank from our office as well as a monthly mobile food bank to better assist those who may have issues getting to us. We work hard to assist those seeking to re-home pets but offer assistance that otherwise would be the determining factor between keeping a beloved family member or re-homing, abandoning or surrendering their pet to the local shelter. CFA strives to keep families together while reducing shelter euthanasia and abandonment. Many of the families we assist are recovering from a recent job loss, terminal illness, are students or military veterans. Our goal is to keep pets and their people together.
