We are a non-profit preschool serving at risk 3-4 year olds from the North Central and Capitol Hill area.
About This Cause
PHILOSOPHY: Prospect Enrichment Preschool is designed to help each child acquire the skills and confidence that will promote their optimal development. The preschool is based upon the educational philosophy of respect for the individual child. their ability to grow and develop inner controls, their ability to think and play creatively and their ability to discover and use their own resources OBJECTIVES: The programs and policies of Prospect Enrichment Preschool have been designed to accomplish the following objectives: 1. To provide an emotionally supportive and nurturing environment for all children in our care. 2. To create a stimulating and challenging learning atmosphere. 3. To provide multi-cultural learning environments for children which reflect a respect for individual differences. 4. To provide activities which teach non-violence and enhance each child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical deveopment. 5. To create a positive and mutually supportive working relationship with the families of the children in our care. 6. To encourage and promote a self-directed staff who work well as a team to promote continual staff development.
