Mission Statement
The George Pocock Rowing Foundation's mission is to help young people access and experience the life-changing sport of rowing.
About This Cause
George Pocock believed that anyone who had the desire to row and take part in the life changing benefits of the sport should have the opportunity to participate. For some, that could mean finding a place to learn. For others it could mean a host of supports including transportation, nutrition, mentoring and financial assistance. The Pocock Foundation raises awareness of the sport through outreach efforts. We work to break down barriers to participation, supports several boathouses and their development of new facilities, and bring rowing organizations and teams together to compete and learn from each other.
