Agros works with the rural poor of Central America to earn economic self-sufficiency as land owners, realize their God-given potential, and escape the crushing cycle of generational poverty.
About This Cause
Since 1984, Agros has helped thousands of families break free from the constraints of poverty and achieve economic self-sufficiency. We continue to improve our program model that combines the power of land ownership with technical training to generate successful agro-businesses while improving the health, education, and well being of the families we serve. Our unique, holistic approach is not a hand out; it is a permanent leg up. The Agros model has been validated by some of the most influential organizations in international development, including the Inter-American Foundation and the United Nations Development Program. In 2008, the World Bank Development Marketplace recognized Agros for its solutions to poverty through a generous award at its global competition.
