Mission Statement
Bridge Disability Ministries honors the God-given dignity of people living with disabilities. We build relationships among people of all abilities to alleviate isolation and enrich our churches and communities.
About This Cause
Bridge Disability Ministries was founded in 1987 on the conviction that all people, those with disabilities included, are uniquely gifted and that every member of a community stands to benefit from the presence of all its members. While most individuals with disabilities reported that their disability might cause some difficulty and discomfort, most found that marginalization and social isolation from the greater community created the greatest barrier to them living happy, fulfilled lives. Bridge was founded to combat this marginalization by working towards widespread cultural change, advocating on behalf of the most vulnerable members of our community, and providing medical and mobility equipment necessary for people to successfully navigate their communities and homes.
