Mission Statement
A group of parents, caregivers, teachers and community members who work together to support and bring resources to the Hawthorne Elementary School community. We focus on increasing volunteerism, participation in community-building events and raising funds for our neighborhood school.
About This Cause
Hawthorne Elementary School is a high needs public school in SE Seattle. The school serves a racially and economically diverse student community without adequate public resources to help all kids to thrive. Friends of Hawthorne works to increase community involvement, and raise funds that are used for basic academic support as well as enrichment opportunities for kindergarten through 5th graders.
