Mission Statement
Life Services is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to the sanctity of life at conception. We offer hope, truth, medical care, and support from a biblical perspective to anyone impacted by an unplanned pregnancy helping them choose life and encouraging a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
About This Cause
Life Services Spokane was founded in 1991 offering free pregnancy testing and advocacy by registered nurses under the direction of a Physician Medical Director. Later, ultrasounds and STI testing and treatment were added to the clinic's free services. An ARNP/Certified Nurse Midwife was recently added to the clinic staff to offer well-woman care, early prenatal care, and infant feeding classes. In 2001 Life Services opened a state-licensed Maternity Home providing family-style housing for expecting women and their newborn infants who were homeless or in threat of harm, helping them work towards stability and independence. Over the last 5 years, however, the need has shifted from residential care to mental health care and mentoring. First, our Fatherhood and Motherhood Programs launched in 2021, offering one-on-one mentoring and skills training. Then, in 2023, the decision was made to close the Maternity Home and use the space to offer options for recovery work and counseling, Life Services Coaching and Healing Groups addressing past abortion and sexual trauma, and opportunities to explore the Christian faith. in 2023, our Kid's Corner was birthed providing safe and love-filled supervision of our client's Children while they do their recovery work on-site.
