Mission Statement
As the needs of our community have grown, so has our desire to have a larger impact in our community. As we see local churches and organizations have a growing demand on their benevolence dollars and tighter budgets, we strive to bring our unique resources to help stretch those benevolence dollars while meeting the increasing needs of our community. In addition to providing direct support to people through our stores, we have developed partnership programs focused on sharing the load of benevolence programs of local churches and organizations.
About This Cause
Helping Hands Ministries International (HHMI) and Helping Hands Thrift Stores have been helping people in our community since 1992. Helping Hands Thrift Stores have served as a hub in the community, turning gently used items into assistance for those in need while also being the primary funding mechanism for our international programs by providing a location for people to drop off their “extras” so that they can be reused, repurposed, or recycled. Helping Hands has done more than just receive donations, we have met the countless needs of people walking into the store, providing clothes for an interview, school supplies for a family, household needs for a struggling mother, jackets for homeless kids, and countless other needs.
