SEATTLE PUREBRED DOG RESCUE

REDMOND, Washington, 98073-3523 United States

Mission Statement

Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue is a non-profit rescue, referral, and education organization dedicated to placing unwanted purebred dogs into suitable homes, and preventing unwanted purebred dogs from overloading the shelter system. Towards attaining these goals, we promote responsible dog ownership by educating the public in the selection, care, and training of dogs. Founded as a non-political organization in 1987, SPDR works cooperatively with breeders, animal shelters, breed clubs, and individuals to accomplish SPDR's purpose.

About This Cause

SPDR, an adoption/referral agency, places unwanted purebred dogs into new homes with people wishing to adopt specific breeds. We help owners find new homes for their purebred dogs, and help people adopt purebreds by referring them to one another, or to dogs in shelters, or in our foster care. Dogs from shelters or owner surrenders are often rehabilitated to make them more adoptable, and the public is educated in responsible dog ownership. We are a 501(c)3 organization, as well as a registered charity in Washington State
