Community Homes creates rich, full lives for adults with developmental disabilities by providing quality, community-based housing and services. We select and support excellent caregivers to create the environment for residents to grow and experience independence in the community.
About This Cause
Community Homes is an Adult Family Homes provider in east King County Washington State area. We offer supportive living environments ensuring healthy life choices and community integration for adults with developmental disabilities. Our homes give special care and encouragement to enhance the quality and level of independence of our residents. Residents participate in self-care and home care activities, such as preparing meals, doing laundry, maintaining common areas, and their rooms. Live-in caregivers work with residents to maintain and learn independent living skills within each individual’s ability. Community Homes provides support to its caregivers regarding best practices to encourage each resident to reach their full potential. Caregivers team with families, job coaches, and others to support our residents. Caregivers often arrange special recreational opportunities within each house.
