Mission Statement
Companis connects volunteer professionals with nonprofit agencies that need staffing assistance. Our volunteer support program creates an engaged and sustainable community service corps.
About This Cause
In 1994 Companis was founded by Seattle First Baptist Church and then-Executive Director, Craig R. J. Darling, who saw many organizations in need and many people with the heart to serve. In 1997, Companis became a secular, 501c3 organization. In our 23 year history, Companis has made more than 800 placements of professionals in more than 130 nonprofit agencies. Volunteers serve for one year in a variety of nonprofits, with homeless services, health care access and youth and senior programs our primary areas of service. See our website for a complete list.
