Mission Statement

Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center offers Christian camping programs for all ages, year-round, and provides camp and conference facilities for non-profit organizations, including churches, public and private schools, and government groups.

About This Cause

Warm Beach Christian Camps and Conference Center, located 30 minutes north of Everett, provides this region with an ideal retreat location for residents within a 200-mile radius. Founded in 1956 by the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free Methodist Church, Warm Beach Camp (WBC) has developed into the Northwest’s largest Christian conference center, serving more than 350 church-related, educational, and character-building groups each year. In 1995, WBC incorporated as a separate entity. Thousands of people attended events at WBC every year. The Camp provides programs year-round to meet the needs of all — youth, adults, families, singles, and senior adults. Numerous groups use WBC’s facilities for their own programmed events, including churches of many denominations. While serving the Christian community is given priority, the Camp also serves the community at large by providing a place for public/private schools, governmental agencies, and a host of other non-profit organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cascade Youth Symphony, Western Washington University, University of Washington, Pierce College, Bothell High School Drama Department, Providence Regional Medical Center, Union Gospel Mission, Shoreline Senior Center, the Future Problem Solvers, Shoreline Parks and Recreation Dept., College Bound, Northwest FBLA, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Dept., Evergreen Boys State, Friends of Israel Scouts, Stanwood Chamber of Commerce, and the Arthritis Foundation, to name a few. In recent years, WBC has developed programs to serve sectors of the population that are often overlooked. A Special Friends Camp program serves older teens and adults with special needs, providing all the activities a WBC Day Camp offers, uniquely adapted to this special group. WBC also has a scholarship program called “Kids 2 Camp” that provides financial assistance where needed to enable children and youth to attend camps at WBC. Last year, WBC partnered with 29 organizations and churches, and gave out more than $133,000 in scholarships that made it possible for 1,430 campers to attend camp. One of WBC’s programs is a month-long celebration of the Christmas season called The Lights of Christmas. This event reaches out to the surrounding community and Puget Sound area with the sights, sounds, and experiences of Christmas. These include a display of more than one million Christmas lights, live music, Polar Express train rides, dinner theatre, over-night lodging options, food, crafts, and more, all surrounding a larger-than-life-size nativity scene. Last year, more than 63,000 people attended this event. A leader in the camp and conference center field, WBC employs 33 full-time and 127 part-time and seasonal staff members. A 17-member Board of Directors is actively involved in volunteerism, as well as in overseeing the management and direction of the Camp. Community support for the Camp is a valuable asset, with more than 44,000 hours of volunteer service provided by 1,120 individuals in 2013. In turn, staff members are active in their churches and the community, with many also serving as consultants in their areas of expertise to other camps and conference centers.
