Mission Statement
The Food Bank @ St. Mary's serves anyone living within the Seattle City limits. Our primary purpose is to combat hunger at a local level. Along with staff and our team of community volunteers, we operate a walk-in food bank and a home delivery program, providing groceries to over 17,000 individuals each month. In addition to traditional food items, we provide No-Cook bags of groceries, for our homeless clients who do not have access to cooking and refrigeration facilities. Formula, diapers, wipes, and baby food for families with babies. Hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrush & toothpaste as they come in through the donation stream. In addition, we partner with several local schools and school programs feeding over 1100 children each week in our "Feeding Hungry Children" program. This is for children who go home to empty cupboards in the evenings and weekends.
