Mission Statement
Our goal is to help Korean American students have a positive cultural identity and at the same time offering local community members opportunities to learn and enjoy the Korean language and culture.
About This Cause
Founded in 1974, Silicon Valley Korean School (“SVKS”) is the largest Korean language school in the US. SVKS is a California nonprofit corporation and a federally approved non-profit 501(c)(3). With over 1,000 students and more than 50 teachers, SVKS is able to offer various programs educating the Korean language and heritage. Our language program is divided into 50 classes by both the level of fluency and age group from pre-kinder aged children through adults. Our elective program consists of 26 classes including Korean traditional dance and music as well as other various classes that help students develop their hobbies.
