Mission Statement
We are a unique non-profit organization which offers unparalleled camp experiences and community for children living with Diabetes. STIX fosters the ability for these youth to build relationships and community, realizing they are not alone in living with Diabetes.
About This Cause
Our camps are comprised of a 3-day day camp for kiddos ages 6-8, a week-long residential camp for youth ages 9-16 and a traveling adventure camp for youth ages 16-19. All camps are 100% volunteer operated with a nearly 1:1 ratio of campers to volunteers; including medical staff, social workers, cooks/kitchen and program staff. We take pride in our ability to provide traditional camp experiences, while offering diabetes education and 24-7 medical care. Perhaps most importantly, STIX fosters the ability for these youth to build relationships and community, realizing they are not alone in living with T1D.
