Mission Statement

Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Washington (ICBW) seeks to enrich and preserve the cultural and religious traditions of Bosniaks in Washington. We engage in Islamic religious services, cultural activities, and educational services and events for children, adolescents, and adults to further fraternity and goodwill among the Bosniak community and the community at-large.

About This Cause

Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Washington (ICBW) has a Shoreline mosque with five daily prayer services. Services held to commemorate important dates on the Islamic calendar and in Bosnian history. Introductory religious school classes weekends for youth and adults held by imam. Burial services provided to members of ICBW at Bear Creek Cemetary in Woodinville and typically in partnership with Butterworth Funeral Home. Organized volunteer activities to clean and maintain Shoreline mosque and cemetary. Currently, work is taking place to expand the number of burial spaces at Bear Creek Cemetary with labor and even some materials provided by ICBW members. Youth group social activities held at the mosque and in the wider Seattle area. Youth group volunteering with Mary's Place charity to aide homeless. Held two mobile dental clinics in the Shoreline mosque parking lot over the past year for anyone who was in need.
