Mission Statement
Living Stream Christian Church’s statement of faith stated here does not exhaust the extent of the church’s belief. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final au- thority concerning truth, morality and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purpose of Living Stream Christian Church’s faith, doctrine, practice, pol- icy and discipline, our Executive Pastoral Team is River of Life Christian Church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application. We believe that there is one true God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit andborn of virgin Mary, and was crucified on the cross for the atonement of our sin. And by His punishment we have peace, by His stripes we are healed. On the third day He was raised from the dead, He ascended into heaven and is now seated to the right hand of the Father, and He will come to judge the world. We believe that Holy Spirit is God’s indwelling in man. The filling of the Holy Spirit empow-ers believer to live holy life and to serve God. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God. It is the foundation of our faith and living. We believe that one is saved and justified by faith in Christ alone. On the day of the finaljudgment, both the saved and the lost will be resurrected, one who believes will have eter- nal life, and one who does not will have eternal damnation. We believe that the Church is the body of Christ. From the time of the apostles until now, weall belong to the same body, manifest the glory of God. We believe God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and thatthese two distinct, complimentary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:27). We believe that God has ordained marriage to be exclusively the union of one man and onewoman, and defined it as the convent relationship before Him. Physical intimacy and pro- creation are to occur exclusively within that union. (Genesis1:28, 2:24-25, Matthews 19:4-5).
