Mission Statement
Possibilities Women's Center is a Christ centered ministry upholding the sanctity of life through love, education, support and hope. Our vision is a community which believes all life is created by God and has inherent value. Our goals are to be recognized in Lewis County, Washington as a caring and safe place, to help meet the needs of the abortion vulnerable woman, to become the primary source of education on issues related to abstinence and pregnancy choices and to promote a culture of life to the community at large. At the core of our service is compassion, and we will: treat each person with dignity and respect. deliver compassionate care and education for those making significant life choices. About This Cause
Possibilities is a medical facility. Under the guidance of our medical director we provide the following services: Free Pregnancy Testing and Verification- Possibilities provides lab-quality, high-sensitivity tests with a 99% accuracy rate after a woman’s missed period. Free verification is also provided for positive pregnancy tests. Free Limited STD Testing and Treatment for Women- While most sexually active women are concerned about getting pregnant, they rarely realize they are more at risk of contracting an STD. Possibilities provides free testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia for women, as well as access to treatment. These STD’s are asymptomatic, meaning a woman could have them, but show no symptoms. They can drastically affect a woman’s reproductive and overall health. Nurse Consultations- A nurse is always available to answer medical and reproductive questions, as well as give expecting moms more time outside of their typical OBGYN appointments to talk about any pregnancy-related concerns. Possibilities also provides education and material support through our following programs: Earn While You Learn Education Program- From the earliest stages of pregnancy up through a child’s first year, there is so much to learn! Each Earn While You Learn appointment includes a 20-30 minute video with high quality education about the baby’s development, each trimester, preparation for labor, delivery, and breastfeeding, and transition into parenting. Each mom views this video with a Client Coordinator, available to talk with her and answer any of her questions. Keepsake Ultrasound- Free non-diagnostic, keepsake ultrasound is offered to women as an opportunity to see their baby between 10-14 weeks gestation. Material Goods- Between diapers, wipes, clothes, and baby gear, the expenses and needs which come with having a baby add up quickly! Thanks to material donations, all of these items and more are available to women as a part of our educational program. Each appointment earns points which can be exchanged for goods.
