Mission Statement
The mission of Bellevue Christian School is to prepare young people to live fully for God in a rapidly changing world with the ability to understand, evaluate, and transform their world from the foundation of God’s unchanging values. Bellevue Christian School’s vision is to build a comprehensive curricular and co-curricular program within a framework of the following four principles for students in Preschool through 12th grade.
About This Cause
Bellevue Christian School is… Non-denominational. Distinctively Christian in philosophy but not tied to any particular protestant denomination, BCS serves families from over 100 churches throughout the region and around the world. For Every Student. Our population includes students from preschool through 12th grade who have been gifted differently. As a result, our comprehensive curricular and co-curricular program includes fine, graphic, and performance arts, athletics, student senate, AP courses and an integrated service program. Diverse. Students come to school from various parts of King and Snohomish counties and from different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. Over fifty international students attend BCS while living with home-stay families. The student body is 82% Caucasian; 9.5% Asian/Pacific Islander; 1% African American; 1.5% Hispanic; 6% other. Sought-after. For over 60 years, families have looked to BCS to serve their families’ educational needs. As a result, current enrollment for Preschool to 12th grade is over 1100 students and several grade levels are at capacity for the 2015-2016 school year. Accessible. Free transportation system buses students to our High School (Grades 9-12) & Junior High (Grades 7-8) campus, two Elementary schools and three Preschools. Tailored resources and services for students with different learning needs, counselors on every campus, AP Courses, integrated Science and Math courses, and a robust financial aid and scholarship program better ensures that BCS is a place for all students. Trusted. BCS is approved by the State of Washington and accredited by Christian Schools International and the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. Her diploma is accepted by post-secondary institutions such as the University of Washington, United States Military Academies, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Wheaton College and Berklee School of Music.
