Mission Statement
The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of those touched by inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) through the power of action and advocacy. We do this by tenaciously fostering innovative IBC research, creatively educating stakeholders of all kinds and tirelessly advocating for both current IBC patients and survivors.
About This Cause
Since 1999 the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation has heightened awareness of inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) and has facilitated research to address the disease that has affected so many of our friends and family members. While we have come a long way, we have not reached our ultimate goal of ending the disease. From our start we've been a web-based organization with volunteers working from their homes around the U.S. This design allows us to focus our resources to support the work of the organization rather than salaries. We provide an educational website, survivor volunteers to respond to telephone and website questions, and share an email newsletter with subscribers. We also have an active presence in social media providing evidence- based information with the guidance of our Medical Advisory Board. The Foundation will continue to focus attention on inflammatory breast cancer and influence programs and research on this deadly disease. Thank you for your support!
