About This Cause
Balsa Research is an experiment in improving U.S. federal policy. We focus on doing policy work that foregrounds actually solving problems. We target focus areas where the expected payoff is orders of magnitudes greater than the expected cost of reform. We seek funding only from aligned donors to avoid poor incentive structures. We generate value that is free for anyone to use.
