Mission Statement
Our mission is to serve underserved individuals by providing students with special needs and challenges an individualized, science-driven, and effective academic experience. We aim to meet the unique educational needs of our students by embedding essential life skills into academic curriculum. Providing an individualized, comprehensive learning program to our students will give them the best chance of accessing a higher quality of life while learning to advocate for themselves and becoming more independent. We are committed to prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of our students with quality and compassionate teaching methods. We promise to treat each and every student with care, compassion, and acceptance not despite, but because of their unique needs.
About This Cause
Excel Learning Academy (ELA) is a private school for students with severe special needs. ELA is committed to prioritizing the social and emotional well-being of our students with quality and compassionate teaching methods. We promise to treat each and every student with care, compassion, and acceptance not despite, but because of their unique needs. Our founder, Jesenia Giambrone, MS, BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a passion for expanding the reach of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to our community. With her expertise and passion, ELA will incorporate individualized educational programming with behavior analytic research to provide a unique and effective education plan for each student. At ELA, we believe in evidence-based strategies and progress monitoring. We will meet each and every student where they are and develop an individualized plan to help them meet their goals. Our goal is to provide a safe and compassionate learning environment for students who require more intense support than other schools may be able to provide. We’re not just about academics. We are about creating a community that values and supports students with special needs.
