Mission Statement
The RightSite Community Foundation funds services that directly help uninsured patients who struggle to access the healthcare system and use 911 and EMS for non-emergency needs.
About This Cause
Every day, 50% of the calls made to 911/EMS are not emergencies. These calls are made by people who are facing issues such as a lack of health insurance coverage, transportation problems, or a low level of health literacy. As a result, they rely on public services designed for emergency care. This places a considerable strain on community response times and county budgets, all while creating a poor patient experience.In collaboration with like-minded partners, we ensure inclusive, accessible, and equitable healthcare to the community members at their most urgent time of need regardless of ability to pay or obstacles faced. Our Foundation collaborates with RightSite Health to provide timely services for uninsured or underinsured patients. These services help find the right place for non-emergency, clinical and social care, avoiding unnecessary trips to the ER and improving efficiencies of emergency public services.
