Many women find they need extra support and care during their pregnancies and post-partum periods. The Haven Maternity Home offers love and compassion during one of the most challenging times in a woman’s life. Haven Home is a comprehensive residential program for pregnant women. We provide a safe home environment where you and your baby can grow and learn. The residents of Haven Home receive services to address their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. At Haven Home, we help our residents have access to quality prenatal and pediatric care. In addition to participating in the programs offered at the house, they receive life skills training and assistance in achieving longer-term educational and career goals. They don’t have to do it alone. WHY HAVEN HOME? Maternity Home The Haven Maternity Home is a temporary living arrangement for women and their child(ren) until the newborn is 6 months old. The house has 3 bedrooms for residents. Each room holds a mother and child(ren). There are 2 bathrooms, 1 on 1 st and 1 on 2 nd floor of the home. The home is staffed 24/7, with a Residential Assistant. The Haven Home is operated with a FAMILY environment. There are behavior expectations and rules that must be followed. RESPECT is required. This applies to residents as well as staff. Clients will complete an application of admittance along with a disclosure agreement and background check authorization. Upon acceptance and arrival to the Haven Home each woman and child will be given any necessary hygiene items, linens such as towel/washcloth and clothing. Each bedroom will have linens and incidentals already provided. Clients are allowed to come and go as necessary and will log in and out of the facility for accountability purposes with the location they will be and expected time of return. This is for their safety and our concern. Residents share in household responsibilities in maintaining the home such as sweeping, dusting, keeping their room clean, cooking, washing dishes, taking out trash, etc. This teaches responsibility and pride of ownership. There will be a laundry area provided with a rotating schedule for use. Each client is responsible for their own laundry. Each room will be supplied with a linen receptacle. Cleaning supplies and laundry supplies will be provided by the house.
